Mel started his art journey when he was 7 or 8. Mel wanted to be like his older brother. His brother was very good at drawing, he made it look effortless. Mel was amazed at how his brother could just draw from his imagination. From that moment that is all Mel has done. School introduced other art mediums and tried his hand at each.

While in college Mel tried performance art and he liked that a lot. He lived in Florida, then back to NY. Then went out west to follow performing arts. Always in search for his place in the world. Along the way he met amazing people who has given him wisdom, freedom and experiences that has shaped his life and art.

Mel moved back home to Rochester, NY in 2014 and has found new journeys, new travels, new experiences and new art to create.

Mel is married and welcomed a daughter in 2021, and a son in 2022. We have three furry babies, two cats and one dog.
